Alomar Kocur (she/they)

Alomar Kocur is the founder and Artistic Director of Trim Tab Productions. She first gained an appreciation for Virtual Reality while working at York University (her Alma Mater) as a Content Producer, where she experimented with 360° photography and collaborated with faculty members and researchers who specialized in virtual and transmedia storytelling.

She obtained her degree in Theatre at York University in 2016, and has worked as a videographer and video editor in freelance, contract and salaried positions for over a decade. She credits her Theatre education for opening her eyes to the possibilities of Virtual Reality, as the tenets for creating stories in physical spaces translate easily to virtual ones.

In addition to her experience as a content producer and storyteller, Kocur is also pursuing her Masters of Business Administration at the Schulich School of Business, where she advocates for inclusive practices and positive spaces for LGBTQ+ business students as an executive member of the Schulich Pride Alliance.
